Important Announcement for the 2008 Deep South Classic
Please Note: Because of the holiday schedule that would have
the weekend fall in the middle of the tournament and
sponsorship concerns, the Deep South Classic will be
changing its format for 2008. Instead of a 32-team (16 boys
and 16 girls teams) 4-day tournament held at two sites the
Deep South Classic will be a 16-team (8 boys and 8 girls
teams) 3-day tournament (each team is insured of three games
only) held only at Brookwood High School. In addition, for
2008 the tournament will be for teams mainly located within
driving distance of Brookwood High School, Snellville, GA.
The 2008 Deep South Classic will be held on Saturday,
December 27, Monday, Dec. 29 and Tuesday, Dec. 30. We will
use both Brookwood High School gyms (both are 94 foot, wood
floor surfaces) and the game schedule will be 2:00, 3:45,
5:15 and 7:00. If you are interested in participating and
being considered for the 2008 tournament as described above,
submit your request. Please note the FAQ (Frequently Asked
Questions) section of our website has been revised. Only
Q&A’s that are annotated 2008 apply this year. For out-of
state teams that have participated or interested in the Deep
South Classic before 2008, please check our website for
tournament info and format for 2009 and subsequent
tournament years.

New Year, has grown to be one of the most successful in the
country. The tournament is proud of its’ high level of
competition and draws from boys' and girls' teams from
