| News Title: | Team Hosts for the 2008 18th Deep South Classic |
Team Hosts for the 2008 17th Deep South Classic Holiday Basketball Tournament were announced today. Each team has a “team host” assigned to assist teams participating in the holiday tournament.
”The Team Host concept started here with the very first Deep South Classic,” stated Tournament Director Les Witmer. “Each team has assigned to them a personal key person for the tournament.”
According to Witmer they help participating teams in every way possible to make their visit or stay and play in the tournament as easy as possible. The team hosts meet visiting teams and insure they know where to go, what time to be there and actually escort them. They take care of administrative matters and answer questions or assist in matters that come up during the tournament.
“This being our 18th Annual Deep South Classic we have learned that the Team Hosts are very much the keys to having a successfully run tournament,” concluded Witmer.
